Welcome to the Disaster Help Page for Victims of Katrina.

We at Harvest Time Ministry are attempting to do our part for the victims of the recent Katrina Hurricane and Flooding. As a Ministry located just south of Houston, Texas, we see this as an opporturnity to be directly and indirectly involved.

First, we need volunteers...many volunteers to help with overloads of donations at various donation centers and Churches. Second, we need clothing of all sizes. Many toddler and children sizes as well as young teens. Socks and underwear are in short supply so Wal Mart, Sears, etc... gift cards or certificates would be wonderful to allow people to shop for those "personal" undergarments themselves. Non-perishable food items would be great also such as dry or canned goods.

We are in need of infant/toddler protective items such as car seats, strollers, carriers, etc.... In the near future (in fact beginning this week) we need lots of housewares, furnishings especially beds/bedding as people are being re-settled into homes/apartments. Just about everything needed to set up a "new" home for someone who hasn't a thing is going to be needed.

We will be setting up a fund for donations soon. In the meantime, we suggest the already established charities like Operation Compassion at Second Baptist.org
